Gift cards are for gifts, not scammers

Scam-Gift card

Gift cards are popular during the holidays, but they’re also a favorite tool for scammers.

If someone pressures you to buy gift cards to pay a bill, a fine or an unexpected expense, stop and think. Legitimate businesses and government agencies won’t demand payment by gift card.

Never share a gift card number or PIN with someone who contacts you.

Buying gift cards for the holidays?

Before purchasing, check the card and packaging for signs of tampering, such as scratches, exposed PINs or damaged packaging.

Protecting your accounts from scams

As a reminder, Arizona Financial will never ask you for:

  • Your passwords, PIN, one-time passcodes, or card information
  • Confirmation of transactions by clicking a link in a text or email
  • Any sensitive information through unsolicited calls, texts, or emails

Skip a payment & free up cash for the holidays

Skip-1

This holiday season free up some cash with our Skip-A-Payment program.

With the holidays just around the corner, Skip-A-Pay gives members the financial flexibility to skip a monthly payment on eligible loans or credit card accounts once a year.

How to get started

To take advantage of Skip-A-Payment, just log in to your online account or the mobile app to see if your loan or credit card is eligible.

How does Skip-A-Payment work?

With Skip-A-Pay, the payment is not waived but postponed, extending the length or term of your loan. This adjustment can help free up funds without drastically altering your long-term financial obligations.

As a reminder, interest will still accrue on the skipped payment. This accrued interest will need to be paid at the end of the loan term.

If you have questions, call 602-683-1000 or send us a message through online banking or the mobile app.
