We'll be giving away $250,000 in grants thanks to our members' use of the Local Causes debit card
They provide dignity, comfort, and a sense of belonging to foster and kinship children and have made a lasting impact on thousands of children and families across Arizona. Their goal is simple yet powerful: ensure that no child enters care feeling forgotten or alone.
The funds received will be used to pay for 3D mammograms through their Free Mammogram Program. We have focused our advocacy efforts to low income areas in South Phoenix.
They help individuals and families make simple changes in their financial behavior, create long-term financial goals, and equip them with the knowledge and tools needed to secure their financial future. They focus on low-to-moderate income adults ages 18-35, who stand the most to gain from expert financial education, financial guidance, and a capital investment in their future.
They provide food to our Neighbors in need living in the Northcentral part of Phoenix. This 14 year old Program has provides weekend food to Title 1 School Students identified by School Social Workers as likely to not be getting adequate food on weekends, returning to school on Mondays distracted, unable to focus, definitely not "ready to learn"
They provide essential counseling services for women and children escaping domestic violence. These funds will ensure that no survivor is denied access to trauma-informed therapy due to financial limitations. This year, they aim to expand access to include children and clients in their mobile program.
They are a hyperclean, indoor playground designed to provide immunocompromised children and their siblings with a clean environment where they can enjoy typical childhood activities while also offering their parents and caregivers a place to rest and connect.
The Arizona State Spelling Bee is a statewide academic competition administered by the Arizona Educational Foundation (AEF) that engages students in grades 1-8 across hundreds of public, private, and charter schools. Designed to promote literacy, vocabulary development, and public speaking skills, the Bee is a long-standing tradition that fosters academic achievement and confidence among Arizona’s youth.
They provide service dogs to individuals who are no longer able to perform their duties due to conditions like PTSD and mental fatigue. They have made a significant impact on the community, primarily by focusing on the mental health and well-being of first responders.
They aim to remove financial barriers and ensure that all children have access to quality athletic opportunities. Specifically, funds will help sponsor youth athletes who may not have the financial means to participate in sports programs.
They are a basketball-based community empowering underrepresented youth through leadership, mentorship, and connection across neighborhoods and schools. Their mission is to create an environment for the disadvantaged youth to play basketball and learn leadership qualities that will help on and off the court.
They enhance financial literacy among Black-owned business owners by providing coaching on personal and business finances. By addressing personal financial management first, they aim to build the foundation needed for stronger business financial practices, ultimately improving long-term business sustainability.
Their mission is to educate, support, and advocate for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. These funds would support programs across all stages of life: New and Expectant Parent Outreach, school-age readiness, adaptive wellness programs like Down to Box, Buddy Up Tennis, and Down to Earth therapeutic gardening, and adult enrichment like music, movement, and aging supports.
They support Phoenix families with children facing serious medical conditions by easing financial strain and boosting emotional well-being. It has helped over 50 families with medical costs and comfort initiatives.
They serve a diverse population of donkeys, each with unique needs and stories. They also provide for special needs donkeys, giving them the tailored support necessary for a quality life.
They provide transformative, no-cost educational programs that equip underserved teens in Arizona, primarily teens from Title 1 schools, with the tools to break generational cycles of poverty. These programs are focused on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and leadership development, giving students real-world knowledge, mentorship, and opportunities for future success.
They serve over 1,000 of Arizona's youngest cancer fighters and their families. CCN supports children and families throughout their cancer journey with programs and services designed to provide financial assistance, promote education, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create an awareness of issues they face related to childhood cancer.
Every year they provide holiday meals for multiple families in the Avondale community. They exist to fulfill the unmet needs of our community as well as our public safety family.
They help Arizona families stay housed during a child’s medical crisis by providing emergency rent and mortgage assistance. Since 2013, it has supported over 5,100 individuals across 60+ cities.
